As the problem clearly affects Windows, it should be addressed
on that system (that will be Microsoft's job). On the other
hand, it's probably the result of an incompatibility in the SMB
protocol Samba uses. Just to make sure the Samba people know
about it, I've filed a bug:

PS: In the Windows Batch file, the line:
|cd K:\sharedfolder
has no effect. Instead use:
|K:
|if ERRORLEVEL 1 goto exit0
|cd \sharedfolder
(don't forget to set drive letter and folder correctly)
