Actually 2 different announcements. The wireless driver security announcement
was a few weeks back. This week they announced they would be open sourcing the
latest version of their video drivers.

seems like they have been open source for a while.
Although this seems to me more of a "hey, these people will write our
drivers for us", rather than security related IMO
