If the tool isn't there, all that happens is the menu items *for that added function* end up greyed out or don't show up, or simply Nothing Interesting Happens when you click on the object. Microsoft integration: You remove the application that plays MPEG movies from a system that has never needed to play MPEG movies, and never will need to - and your system won't boot anymore.
