Microsoft implementation of RPC is (should be) compatible with DCE RPC, so it is theoretically possible to create interoperable RPC applications. I've never seen working sample. Moreover, you need to use GSSAPI and Kerberos for authentication. Microsoft uses SSPI which is compatible with GSSAPI (anyway, it _is_ GSSAPI, they just renamed the API functions ;).
