Question 3:

What happens when you send the "proper" escape codes for "bold" or "blinking",
but the other end doesn't implement them? (Hint - why does termcap/termlib
exist?)

3a) Are you in trouble if the blink or bold doesn't happen?
3b) Are you in trouble if the blink or bold causes alternate behavior, such as
switching into a graphics or Swahili character set?

Question 4:

Why you still using telnet rather than SSH, anyhow? ;)
